On Lead / Off Lead

Know which dogs may be let off lead, on every walk and stay

What does this policy do?

This is one switch for your business, and it stays off until you turn it on. While it is off, nothing is asked and nothing is shown, on any screen. Turn it on and each dog has one answer, On Lead or Off Lead, which your team sees as a chip on both Daybooks.

How it works

A dog stays on lead unless its owner agrees otherwise, so a dog nobody has answered for reads On Lead and nothing is written to it.

Clients answer on My Pets

They see it in their own words: choosing Off Lead gives their consent. New clients are asked when they add a dog or register.

You and your team can set it

It sits with the dog's details on Clients and on Pets, and with your team if your staff may edit pets. A save that does not change it leaves it as it was.

Both Daybooks show the dog as it is now

The chip reads the dog, not a copy on an old booking, so a change shows on the next look at the Daybook, within 30 seconds on yours.

Separate from a walk record

"Kept on lead?" on a walk says what happened on that walk. This says what the owner agreed. Your agreements' wording does not change.

Good to know

Turning it off hides the answers and keeps them, so they are all there if you turn it on again.

CSV imports leave a dog unanswered, so it reads On Lead until somebody answers.
