Email Notifications
What does this policy do?
This policy gives you granular control over every automated email the system sends. Decide which events trigger emails to you (admin notifications) and which trigger emails to your clients. When the policy is inactive, all emails default to ON.
Two categories of emails
Emails are split into two groups, each with individual on/off toggles:
Admin Notifications
Emails sent TO YOU: new client signed up, booking submitted, booking cancelled, payment recorded, assessment completed, questionnaire submitted
Client Emails
Emails sent TO YOUR CLIENTS: welcome email, password reset, booking request/confirmation/cancellation, payment receipt, invoice, questionnaire summary, assessment report, pet birthday
How the toggle grid works
Each email event has its own on/off switch

You turn OFF "Booking cancelled" for admin notifications
You will no longer receive an email when a client cancels a booking. The client still receives their cancellation confirmation email (if that toggle is on).
You turn OFF "Welcome (self sign-up)" for client emails
When a new client registers on your portal, they won't receive a welcome email. Useful if you prefer to contact new clients personally first.
Policy is INACTIVE (master toggle off)
All email notifications revert to their defaults (all ON). This is the safest option if you're unsure — nobody misses any communications.
Tips & best practices
Keep this policy inactive until you've tested your email setup — all emails will send by default.
Most businesses keep all client emails ON. Only turn them off if you have a specific reason.
Admin notifications for "New client registered" and "Booking submitted" are very useful to stay on top of activity.
Some client emails have customisable templates — look for the "View/edit template" button next to each toggle.
