Your Domain & Branded Email
Why a branded address matters
A domain is your address on the internet — yourbusiness.co.uk — and it is the single biggest thing that makes a small pet-care business look established. Clients trust hello@yourbusiness.co.uk far more than dogwalker4728@gmail.com, and it is yours: if you ever move platform, the address and the email keep working. Buying it here means you never touch a registrar, a DNS panel or a mail server — we register the domain in your name, publish every record needed for mail to arrive and be trusted, and create the mailboxes. Your inbox then appears in the app under E-Mail, and you can also add it to Apple Mail, Gmail or Outlook on as many devices as you like.
What happens when you buy
The whole thing is one guided step. Here is what runs behind it, in order, so nothing is a mystery.
1. You pick the name
Search for the name you want. We show every available option with its FIRST-YEAR price and, where they differ, the RENEWAL price — some endings (like .dog) are cheap to register and dearer to renew, so we always show both before you commit.
2. We register it in your name
You are the owner. The registration is one payment for the first year; after that it renews once a year at its market price, and you can turn auto-renew off any time. Nothing is hidden — the renewal figure you were shown is the figure you are billed.
3. DNS and email security are published for you
We create the zone and publish MX (so mail arrives), SPF, DKIM and DMARC (so mail is trusted and does not land in spam). This is the part people normally pay someone to do — there is nothing technical for you to configure.
4. Your mailboxes are created
Pick the addresses you want — hello@, bookings@, accounts@ — and they are created on the spot. The flat monthly fee shown at checkout covers UNLIMITED addresses on that domain, not one fee per address.
5. It appears under E-Mail
Your inbox shows up in the app immediately: read, reply, attach, search. The checklist on the Domain & Email screen turns green on its own as the records propagate — usually minutes, occasionally up to an hour.
6. Add it to your phone (optional)
Everything already works in the app. If you also want it in Apple Mail, Gmail, Outlook or Thunderbird, the E-Mail Addresses screen has the app links and the exact server settings to paste in. Using it on your phone never signs you out anywhere else.
Already own a domain?
You do not have to buy a new one. If you already have a web address, you can connect it instead.
Connect a domain you already own
Choose "connect a domain you already own", then point your registrar's nameservers at the two we give you. Once they are live we publish the mail records and create your mailboxes automatically — we check every 30 seconds and finish it for you.
Your website keeps working
Connecting for email does not take your existing website down. We add mail records alongside what is already there; your site keeps resolving throughout.
Or bring your own mailbox
If you would rather keep your current provider (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoho), you can connect that mailbox over IMAP/SMTP instead and still read and send from inside the app.

You buy a domain and add hello@
Within a few minutes the Domain & Email checklist goes green (mail delivery, sender protection, signing, policy), your inbox appears under E-Mail, and clients emailing hello@yourbusiness.co.uk land in it. Anything the platform sends on your behalf now shows your business name.
The checklist still shows "pending" after a while
That is DNS propagation, not a fault — records can take up to an hour to spread worldwide. The screen re-checks itself every 30 seconds and turns green on its own; you can safely close it and come back.
Your domain is coming up for renewal
We email you before it renews, telling you the exact price and the date. If auto-renew is on we handle it and add it to your next invoice; if you have turned it off we warn you that it will expire so you can decide.
Choosing well
Shorter is better — easy to say on the phone, easy to fit on a van. If you have to spell it twice, pick another.
Prefer .co.uk if your clients are in the UK; it reads as local and trustworthy, and it is usually the cheapest to renew.
Watch the renewal price, not just the first year. Some endings are a few pounds to register and much more to renew — we show both so you are never surprised.
Avoid hyphens and numbers. "happy-paws-4u.co.uk" is hard to say aloud and looks less established.
Use role addresses (hello@, bookings@, accounts@) rather than your personal name — they survive staff changes and can be shared. Unlimited addresses are included, so make as many as you need.
Keep auto-renew ON unless you have decided to let a domain go. An expired domain can be picked up by someone else, and getting it back is expensive or impossible.
Once your address is live, put it everywhere — website, invoices, van, social profiles. Consistency is what makes it look professional.
