What is the Services page?
The Services page is where you define everything your business offers — from core boarding and daycare packages to optional extras like grooming, taxi pick-ups, and enrichment activities. Services are split into two tabs: Primary Services (your main boarding/daycare tiers with dog-count pricing) and Additional Services (one-off or recurring add-ons clients can bolt on to any booking). Active services appear on your booking forms; deactivated ones are hidden but preserved for future use.
How services are structured
Your services are organised into two distinct categories, each with its own management workflow.
Primary Services
Core services like Boarding and Daycare. Each primary service is defined per dog-count tier (1 dog, 2 dogs, 3 dogs, etc.) with its own nightly or daily rate. This lets you offer volume discounts — e.g. £30/night for 1 dog, £50/night for 2.
Additional Services
Optional add-ons clients can select when making a booking. Examples include grooming, taxi service, medication administration, training sessions, or birthday treats. Each has a name, price, and active/inactive status.
Service Types
Each additional service is categorised by type (Grooming, Transport, Medical, Training, etc.) with a matching icon. This helps clients quickly scan available extras when booking.
Status Toggle
Every service has an active/inactive switch. Deactivating a service hides it from new bookings but doesn't affect existing ones. This is ideal for seasonal services or temporary suspensions.
Pricing
Prices are set per service with your configured currency symbol. Primary services show per-night/day rates; additional services show flat fees. All prices feed directly into your invoice calculations.

What service configuration enables

You create a new Boarding primary service for 3 dogs
A new pricing tier appears on the Primary Services tab showing "Boarding — 3 dogs" with your set rate. When a client books boarding for 3 dogs, this rate is automatically used in their invoice calculation.
A client adds grooming to their boarding booking
The additional service fee is added to the booking total. The grooming appears as a line item on the invoice. Your daybook shows the grooming task alongside the regular boarding care.
You deactivate the Taxi service for winter
The Taxi service switches to "Inactive" with a greyed-out card. It disappears from the booking form's add-on list. Existing bookings with Taxi are unaffected. You can reactivate it in spring with one click.
Pro tips for services
Set up all your primary service tiers before going live — clients will see pricing gaps if "2 dogs" is missing between "1 dog" and "3 dogs".
Use descriptive names for additional services. "Premium Groom & Nail Trim" converts better than just "Grooming".
Review your pricing quarterly. Compare with local competitors and adjust for seasonal demand — peak school holidays can justify premium rates.
Deactivate services rather than deleting them. Deleted services lose historical data; deactivated ones are just hidden.
Consider creating "bundle" additional services (e.g. "Pamper Package" combining groom + nail trim + bandana) at a slight discount.
The Meet & Greet and Test Overnight primary services are usually free or at cost — they're lead generators, not profit centres.
