Agreement Templates

Manage the legal agreements and terms clients sign during onboarding

What are Agreement Templates?

Agreement Templates define the legal documents your clients must read and agree to — such as your Booking Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Liability Waiver, and any custom agreements your business requires. Each template supports dynamic placeholders (like {{business_name}} or {{owner_name}}) that auto-populate with real data when clients view them. Templates are version-controlled, so every edit is saved as a revision you can review or roll back to.

How agreement management works

The agreements page provides a complete template editor with smart features for managing legal content.

Template Library

Each agreement type (Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Liability Waiver, etc.) has its own expandable card. Click to view the current content, or hit Edit to modify it.

Dynamic Placeholders

Use {{business_name}}, {{owner_name}}, {{pet_name}}, {{date}}, and other placeholders in your text. These auto-fill with real values when clients view the agreement — no more manually editing names into every document.

Rich Text Editor

Edit agreements with a full-featured text area. Format your legal content with clear headings, numbered clauses, and paragraph breaks for readability.

Revision History

Every save creates a timestamped revision. Click the history icon to view all previous versions, compare changes, or restore an older version. This provides a full audit trail for compliance.

Live Preview

Toggle between editing and preview mode to see exactly what clients will see, with all placeholders replaced by sample data. Catch formatting issues before publishing.

Copy to Clipboard

One-click copy of any agreement for use in emails, print documents, or external legal reviews.

You update your Terms & Conditions with new cancellation clauses

A new revision is saved with a timestamp. All future clients see the updated terms. The previous version remains in revision history so you can prove what was agreed with earlier clients if disputes arise.

A new client opens your Booking Terms during onboarding

All {{business_name}}, {{owner_name}}, and {{pet_name}} placeholders are replaced with their real data. The client sees a personalised, professional document with your business details pre-filled.

A client disputes a charge citing old terms

You open revision history, find the version that was active when they signed up, and can show exactly what they agreed to — with timestamp proof. This is essential for dispute resolution and regulatory compliance.

Pro tips for agreement templates

Review your Terms & Conditions at least annually. Laws change, and outdated clauses can leave you exposed.

Always use {{business_name}} instead of hardcoding your business name — if you rebrand, all agreements update automatically.

Keep your Liability Waiver separate from your Terms & Conditions. Clients are more likely to read two short docs than one long one.

Use the preview mode before publishing changes. A {{placeholder}} typo (like {{busines_name}}) won't auto-fill and clients will see the raw text.

Number your clauses (1.1, 1.2, 2.1, etc.) so you can reference specific sections in communications — "As per clause 3.2 of your Booking Terms...".

Save a revision after every meaningful edit, even small ones. The revision history is your legal safety net.

Consider adding a Data Processing Agreement if you handle sensitive pet health data — GDPR requires it for some UK businesses.

Copy your Privacy Policy to your website footer as well. It should be accessible without logging in.
