"Gaia had a brilliant morning — full of energy and made a new friend, a chocolate lab called Cooper. Brought her back to settle for a nap."

From solo dog walkers to DEFRA-licensed boarding facilities — every tool you need to run, grow, and stay compliant.
UK Dog Walking Laws Have Changed
The Dogs (Protection of Livestock) (Amendment) Act 2025 came into force on 18 March 2026: unlimited fines for livestock worrying, new police powers of seizure and entry, and cover extended to roads and paths where animals are being moved. The Act places no duties on walkers itself — but councils, insurers and clients ask for insurance, DBS checks, route records and dog limits. MyPetSitter keeps every one of them in one place.
Pet parents get their own portal — check bookings, track their pup's day with Pupdates™, browse the PupBook social wall, and handle all paperwork digitally.

Operation Belly Rub
On the busiest day of the week the calendar used to say FULL. Now it can say EXTRA: a later group walk with its own places and its own price, opened only when the normal walks are full, and explained everywhere it appears.

Director's Statement
A workaround does not stay a workaround. Within about three months it stops being a repair and becomes how the job is done — taught to new staff as though it were the work. That is why it has to be reported before it goes comfortable: by then it is invisible to the only person who can see it.

The Daily Briefing
MyPetSitter has been awarded 4,000 GPU-hours on Isambard-AI — the UK’s national AI supercomputer in Bristol — by UKRI’s AI Research Resource, to build Gaia: a small language model for pet-care professionals that cites its sources, defers to the authority, and sends clinical questions to a vet. In development: the research has not started yet.

Intelligence Report
From April 2026, self-employed sole traders must keep digital records and file quarterly with HMRC. Here is what Making Tax Digital means and who it affects — plus a preview of filing Income Tax and VAT from the software you already run your pet-care business in. In development, awaiting HMRC approval.

Project Gaia · what this is for
That is the aim. Project Gaia is our open research into a small AI that knows UK pet-care rules properly — and knows when to say “ask your vet”. It is built with the people who do the work: vets, licensing officers, groomers, walkers and boarders, who tell it what the guidance leaves out. Everything it learns is published.
